Joe, I have a question for you. Are you assuming that the spindle is centered in the machine or have you verified that with actually measuring? The reason I ask is that my machine is not exactly centered. The reason I know this is I turned my tail- stock over so I could get to the bolts from the top instead of normally from underneath. When I did that, my head and tail-stock were out of alignment. To fix this I also rolled the tail-stock and reinstalled the quick-release tail-stock components to face the proper direction. I'm not sure if this small difference will present any problem, but I thought I would bring it to your attention. For what it's worth, both you and Curt should be working in somebodies R&D section. You both ask the "what if" question all the time and usually come back with the answer of "why not". Amazing work. DB
