thank you all curt, the way i made the split turnings i left the pieces long so when i was done turning i still had part of the square to reference to and just cut them in half then cut the ends off to the final dimension those are buttons i'll try to get a picture of them, the vanities are out on the job site so it may be a few weeks till i get there to get pictures, the burl is walnut i think it was 20 reeds thanks again
