I'm so proud of you all pointing out the tiny detail, but no one pointed out
that one machine is shorter than the other two.

The leg diagonals where added later in the production. It made the unit stiffer
and less wobbly.

The controller box in question is one from the 2000.  Very strange to see it on
such an early machine, but obviously all the machines were adapted to the newer
z-axis kits. Now if we want to get even more specific, the z-axis kits are the
second generation out of three that I'm aware of. I'm not near my date
information, but is that really needed?

Oh, finally none of them are CNC's or duplicators. That's really a clerical
error.  He said in the post that I read that he bought them at an auction and
knew very little about them. At over $3000 for each unit is a bit of a stretch.
I agree that very few people need three machines. I did have a thought that we
are starting to see third generation buyers.  People that saw the demos at the
old woodworking shows, but they didn't buy them then. Pretty interesting to me,
the farther removed from the original buyers, the more the machines are missing
parts.
