Bill,
The "authorized distributor" here in the USA is a place called "The Walnut Log".
I went to their site and started to place an order - inputting in that the product will be shipped to Australia.
So far - it has not rejected me.  In fact, the next step is asking me which state/territory?  I'm stuck - since I do not have your mailing info.
I suggest you go to their web site and place your order:    "The Walnut Log"

If that fails to work out, email me directly (you have my email address - we've emailed before) and I will see what I can do to help you place an order/get your Yorkshire Grit.

Thank you Brigitte

I tried the check out at olivers woodturning and Australia is not in the list of countries so that is the end of that

And on amazon it said this item cannot be shipped to Australia

So im back to square one I am going to try every avenue for yorkshire before I make my own.

So still looking if anyone out there sees it in a shop please buy it and let me know and I will reimburse you for it through paypal

Thank you all very much for all your help so far

Bill

Morning Bill (or probably good evening),

Yorkshire Grit is available from Amazon, but is also available from here <<https://www.oliverswoodturning.co.uk/product/yorkshire-grit/>>

(It is cheaper from Olivers, nearly half the Amazon price!!)

But failing that, if you can't wait till the World gets back to normal (?)😉, here is a link to a recipe for making your own

How is the landscape recovering after all the fires?

Cheers

Brigitte

Bill,

I went to mothership for "Yorkshire Grit" and like Ryan Hellmer states, they have links there for places all over the world that supposedly sell it.  I found there is a seller in Australia - "Perfect Pend and Pencils".  Are you familiar with them?

Here's a link to their web page:

Best of luck to you and your "project".

No first hand info on this, But I just found a home made version that looks pretty easy to make...

It might be worth the effort to try?

I know the inventor and the proprietor or the walnut log personally, I’ll pass word along.  I know Glyn has been struggling to get product out of England with the whole virus issue.

Im putting a call out for a tin of Yorkshire grit sanding past, I use it to sand my work there is none left in Australia I can find, the Chinese virus somehow has made it impossible to get it here. if any of you out there can get me a tin of it I would be very grateful and I will pay for it and the shipping of course.
