We run 2 Wema cnc lathes where I work, basically a Hapfo cnc lathe with
different colors . Wema ( now Stienert) paid kickbacks to Hapfo for using their
design. It has a V profile Tantung edged cutter and runs at 3600 RPM’s with a
high feed rate. I can turn a baseball bat in under one minute vs. this thing
doing it in what, 10? No comparison if you’re in a production turning shop.

idea. Runs from a 2d line drawing,

Actually that is not a bad price when thinking from a production point of
view... a business associate/friend of mine has a Hapfo computerized machine
that originally cost well into six figures... and that was 20 years ago!... and
to be fair though, that machine had some milling and twisting capabilities...
but come on, $150,000 just for milling?... point being made here, the price for
that Laguna is not that bad... point being, production turning and Legacy are
two different worlds
