That is a very nice machine!  I would think the size and weight would help the
machine over come the Legacy's down falls / being, they are to light and built
on a budget.  Where the 2000 and the 2200 where built for a more industrial
uses. For anyone here reading this, Im not putting down Legacy, I just stated a
fact.   The Legacy is a Great machine for the price, Its just not made to/for
industrial standards, If it were the price would be $30,000 not the $3000. to
5000 price range. Thanks Tracy for both the photos and the confirmation about
this gentle giant.  ;-)
Have a good night.

 Curt,
I've included a couple pictures. The first is the model 2000 the day I got it.
It is a beast of a machine.
I also had a 1800 for a short while so the second is the two of them together.
I sold the 1800 last month. The biggest difference between the two machines is
the weight. The model 2000 weighs in around 1200lbs but the 1800 is only around
300lbs.
Let me know what pictures you would like specifically. I will take them.
I haven't done much with it yet other than clean it and fix a few issues.  A
previous owner cut the long rails in half because one of the bolts was stuck
and they went for a quick solution. I haven't finished splicing the rails back
together yet.
My hope is next year I can see if I can retrofit the Performance CNC upgrade I
have on my 1200 to the 2000.  I doubt I can but I got a great deal on the 2000
and just want to try it.  The solid frame will make the CNC movement way better
than on the 1200.

Tracy. Is there any way you could take a few pix's of your machine. Also any
incites on your machine, Good, Bad, Indifferent. (Pro's and Con's of the Legacy
2000) I have a Demo video of the machine, but have not seen one first
hand.Anything you've got would be nice.

 David,
I have a model 2000 and it will support parts up to 10'6". The whole machine is
about 14' long - this includes the motor.

4x gear set, sounds like you could really stretch out a spiral, to 30”? I see a
set of porch posts with a candy cane twist..... does anyone know the length of
the rails on the 2000? The model I have had 108” rails, I think it’s an 1800.
Good luck to whoever is going after it!

Joe,
Rumor has it that you already have a "lock" on this LOM - and now you are just
teasing the rest of us by sharing the auction - because we would all love to
have it - just can't bring ourselves to spend what it will take to win it (bid
price PLUS: 10 % premium and whatever PA taxes are [6%?] ).
(I think I saw a note on the Mill that reads: "Save for Joe B. of NYC")
Source says you plan to "breed" this one with the King Kong Mill you built a
couple years ago - to produce "MEGA Mill"!!!  LoL!
BTW:  Several of the gears appear to show signs of  "milling/machining" or
something.  Is that because they were custom made?
Tim Krause - did you make any of them?
And:  What doe a 4X Multiplier Kit look like?  And what does it do? (added
capability to do what?)

Thanks for sharing.Mac

Subject: get ready1... Legacy 2000 auction in the northeast

ok, all you Legacy maniacs!... let's see where this auction goes... Legacy
2000... lead screw motor with controller and limit switches... "Z" axis...
casters... dust collector/hookup... and it looks like it has that somewhat
elusive 4X(?) gearing setup(perhaps those that know this setup can verify
this!)... located in York, PA... IRS auctions... don't forget that 10% premium
the buyer must pay... and a $75 pickup charge... obviously, no shipping on this
bad boy!... here's the link

let the thievery and cloak and dagger scene begin!
