100% agree with your statement.
For the rest of the group. this process of using the template follower (on the
Legacy ) Is the way I like to make most of my turnings, Its not any harder to
do then using the Legacy by its self, but with the use of a template You can
gain a lot of control of your cut, when roping/fluting/morticing... (working on
YOUR machine/Legacy)And as Bill pointed out, His wave attachment is (although
different looking.) it works on the same process we have made.His cutter/
Universal cutting frame, is basically Our router. and although he is cutting
form the 90 deg. (side of the workpiece.) vs over head, the process is the same.
NOTE: with a 1/2" router bit, or many other bits, this 90 deg. cutting method
works very well for the Legacy.
(YOU ALL Should try it!) Dan Cheeseman made a huge impact on me, when I saw him
using the Legacy in this method a few years ago. I wish I had a way of taking a
video of it back then. It was something worth seeing, and I highly recommend to
everyone here, Its worth trying for your self.
