I’m happy to report that a different method solved the problem. *“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”* Albert Einstein If you expect to complete a task and the method you try doesn’t work the first or second time, perhaps it is time to try something else; a different approach might solve the issue. You don’t just get to quit because you tried and failed, even if you’ve tried multiple times. Real life doesn’t give participation trophies. Persistence is one of the most powerful techniques known to man. That doesn’t mean to keep repeating a method that doesn’t work. It does mean trying different solutions until you find one that works. The United States Marines are famous for their slogan “Adapt, Improvise, Overcome!” We see this failure to adapt in government, in social media, religion, relationships, marriages, divorces, drugs, and alcohol. Anyone who figures out how to get it done despite failing several times before succeeding will quickly rise to the top. Some folks call it being clever; I call it being persistently flexible until you figure it out. Once again, the best example I can cite is WD40. Why do you think Ron Brown's Best has so many Type 2 items? The Type 2 solves issues with the Type One. We don’t quit until we get it right. If you’ve never read “Acres of Diamonds” by Russell H.
