I would love that joy of working with my sons on woodwork with or without cnc but unfortunately not one of them is interested in woodwork ☹

I first visited the Legacy factory back in 2003, it was located just one mile from where my sister worked. I ended up buying the 1200 LOM. I watched as they began converting the LOM's to CNC platforms, and as a machinist in the late 80's and early 90's, I was a CNC machinist/programmer, so I really had an interest in getting a CNC version of their machines. When the Maverick 4x8 came out, I seriously considered getting one, but I just didn't have a place to house and operate one on my property. As the Maverick became more and more functional, my desire got stronger. I have visited the factory three times watching them develop the machines to the state they are in now. Then the pandemic happened, and suddenly I was building murphy beds one after the other! I have built 45 of them so far, and if I had a CNC I could really automate the cutting of the parts, and dramatically improve the trim options for the beds. But there was another reality in my circumstances that I just can't run away from . . . I turn 70 this year. Plugging out $70,000 for a fully equipped Maverick CNC just doesn't seem a good fit at this phase of life. If my techy grandson lived near me I would consider it . . . His being 27 and probably super good at learning CNC programming, It would be a great joy to work with him on something like that. But . . . Eye candy it shall remain.
