Hi Chester,
Gedcom 5.5 is a particular gedcom standard. It is nothing to do with which version of Legacy you are using.

I'm not sure what you mean by "enter Documents"
Do you mean the Customise screen you get when you click the Customise button on the Gedcom export screen? That's where you can choose which information to transfer. The Save button on that screen just saves your settings.

Having made your choices you need to close that screen by clicking OK and click the Select Filename and Start Export button. You'll find another Save button which actually does save the gedcom.

When you provide a name, make sure you take note of the folder it is going to be saved in. I like to save things I'm sending to others onto my desktop. The advantage is that they're easy to find, the disadvantage is that you have to clean up the desktop periodically. Others have other preferences.

Hope that helps,
Cathy

I have been making various attempts to send a Gedcom file to a number of cousins without success. A member of this site suggested I join but stated to click File/Export/Gedcom which brought me to: Produce File for ANSI. I was then told to click on the item above and make use of Gedcom5.5 but I am having no success since I enter Documents and when I pick the information I wish to transfer it offer me the "Save" which takes me nowhere. Also the program I have for Legacy is 6 not 5.5.
   I would appreciate your help!
