Hi Michele,
I think someone suggested you use the Alt Birth/Alt Death etc to
record your conflicting location information for the birth or
death. You may also have conflicting dates or the date may be the
same. Often people have the same location but conflicting dates for an event.
Don't use the Description field in the Alt Birth etc events as, if
you decide the Alt event is the best and swap it with the main birth,
there isn't a spot for Description - I think it gets left behind
attached to the wrong bit but it may have been fixed. I haven't been
watching this one.
If you have conflicting location information for other events, I'd
put it in the note for that event but Alt. xxxx is the way to go for
the main events.
