I am afraid I need some clarification. Is there a message with the error
number? As Jack says this is not a Legacy listed error but is listed by
microsoft for various errors.
I am not clear about what you mean by "restore". Are you saying that Legacy
will not run at all or you cannot get it to load your family file? If the
latter are you trying to load the .fdb file (ie the normal one) or the
backup .zip file? In either event please tell us in detail how you are
trying to do this and where the file(s) are.
I take it btw that you have installed Legacy on your desktop.

Legacy Group -particularly Cathy or Ron Fergerson but ANYONE who has solved
this problem:
Can anyone help me with error 530 - I have tried reinstalling Legacy 6.0
four times with Norton Anti virus disabled and no other programs running.
Using both a Thumb and a Disk - I just keep getting error 530 when I try to
restore - I am trying to restore from my laptop to my desktop. I use
Windows XP
