Susan, i had to rebuild my pc because of IE7-HP last november.? HP release a 
patch at some point and i upgraded last month with no problems.

I, too, usually wait a few weeks before downloading the newest
whatever, and Legacy is not much of an exception. With Legacy, I wait
a few days, and if there aren't a million "oh no" messages, I go ahead
and update. There have never been problems for me before following
this approach.

I still haven't downloaded the latest IE because of the HP problems. I
held off downloading the latest acrobat until the Legacy conflicts
were resolved. Just read all messages and you'll figure out when you
need to wait on something.
