I hope you will be able to resolve this problem.

Dear Legacy;
A little history to simplify understanding my request:

My grandfather, Charles Lawrence Wheeler at the age of 34, disappeared from Taunton, Ma. in late 1916.
At this same time their young housekeeper, name then unknown, also disappeared.
My grandfather re-appeared in California where he died December 23, 1917 under the name, Charles Theodore
Jackson, his mother's maiden name. Information on his death certificate and other documents was provided by
his wife, Mary Jackson. Mary Jackson had a daughter born in early 1918 who is still alive. I have been in touch
with her and her children.
My Request-
There is no problem bringing information on Mary Jackson, her daughter, and her daughter's children, back to
Charles Theodore Jackson. How do I jump from him to Charles Wheeler without the Jackson information
disappearing? In other words, if a stranger researching Mary Jackson (or her descendants) how is CW identified?
Or in the opposite direction; Looking at the Wheeler Descendants Tree would the Jackson Family information
appear?
I have added the Jackson name to C L Wheeler as an Alternative Name but then you need to select one or the
other as the Default or Primary Name. It seems information does not cross this point. I have in mind the possibility
of using Charles Lawrence Wheeler (Charles Theodore Jackson) or possibly Charles Lawrence Wheeler/Jackson.
Both seem too bulky! And how would Search work?
Thanks for your assistance and if you require more information I can be reached by e-mail.

Sincerely,

Charles Lawrence Wheeler
