Hello everyone. I have transcribed a few family cemeteries, and thought I would enter them into Legacy. A few headstones are problematic for me, and I wondered if anyone here came across the same situation and how you resolved it.

[This one might be for Geoff.]
A few headstones I have are about 16 feet tall. On one side, it lists three couples. Husband and wife are in the "center." The husband's parents are next to him, and wife's parents are next to her. Dates are clearly visible, even marriage dates. On the reverse, is the couple's 14 children, and their spouses. Question: How is information like that sourced? A headstone is not a book.

When entering general headstones, obviously the person's name, birth date, death date are of import to the genealogist. Do any of you record stone condition? I -almost- have to for one cemetery, how would you enter information about the stone itself? Just enter in events things like what kind of stone, whether it is a single, double, group, or family, and a rough evaluation of the condition? Is that what you would do?

Thank you, everyone.

Robert
