The source information in Ancestry is what has allowed me to enter sources pretty much "correctly" into Legacy 6, and, therefore, the Basic Source method in Legacy 7. No need for the new Source Templates. Also, it is worth noting that I became aware of this through the Legacy videos. Geoff also suggests if you have old sources that you have (perhaps?) not formatted as desired, that you do an online search for a reference. The Family Search catalog is just full of them, but many other libraries have such things online, too.

Dede,

That is a really useful suggestion. I have been mining birth, marriage, death and census data, etc. from Ancestry.com for six years. I discovered I could copy text from Ancestry.com and paste directly into Legacy for individual fields and master sources, and forgot all about the "Printer Friendly" printout. I have not yet tried the new source templates in Legacy 7. Now, faced with the daunting task of reworking sources, it is a comforting thought to have a paper printout from Ancestry.com to refer to while trying to find appropriate templates in Legacy 7.
Thanks,

Ronald,

This may or may not help, but Ancestry.com gives very good source
information along with the records. If you like, you can choose
"Printer Friendly" from the result window, then print the search
result you're going to use, along with the source information. Having
this in front of you while you work with the various templates may
give you a good idea of which template will produce the best result
for the source you're using.

Ronald,

Seems like this one would match:

Marriage Records > Found in Governmental Records > Marriage
Certificate > Country > Created at local/county level > Online image

If it's just a database, this one always works:

Add a Generic Source Here > Online database

What Master source, using SourceWriter, would be used for a marriage record
found on the internet through www.ancestry.com? I am using the deluxe
version of Legacy v7. It is not a church record but a State/County record.

Thanks and I appreciate your help in advance,
