Ron,

I have never put my info on a web page but have been wanting to do it for
awhile, so maybe this is the time to do it. I'll let you know when I get it up
on the web. It may not be until tomorrow evening.

I'm assuming you have seen my other message about removing the children's
checkbox and spouse-related checkboxes on the include tab. This seemed to fix
the problem with the sources...but I would really like to see the ages
Clementina and Peter Sr. were when their children were born. So it doesn't
really solve my problem. You said that on your report there was a superscript
against the child's details. I went back to a chronology report that I saved
and created in .pdf format on 24 Nov 2008; therefore, I know it was done prior
to 7.0.0.76, as 7.0.0.76 was not released until 28 Nov 2008. This saved .pdf
chronology report did not reference any sources for the birth of child events.
And 7.0.0.76 is not doing so either. How did you get your sources to show for
birth of child events? I have the following checked on the include tab:

Individual Events and Event Notes
Marriages and Marriage events
Children and death of children
Spouse's life range information
Death of Spouse
Parents
Death of parents

On the sources tab, I have checked "Print source citations with report."

I don't think it could be a cut-off problem, as there seems to be plenty of
room for the superscripts to show up.

The only time I can get sources to show up for a child's event on a parent's
chronology report is the death of child event, assuming I have sources cited
for the child's death.

To make matters even more confusing, this only seems to be a problem on this
particular couple's chronology report. I have run a chronology report for Peter
Jr., and all footnotes appear to be correctly referenced to the events (albeit
the sources for "births of children" events are still not showing). He
definitely has Internet templates for some of his sources as well, and they
seem to be showing up correctly. Strange.

Jennifer

Jennifer & Chap,

I have only tried it for one person but the sources are correct and it prints.
So unless both/either problems are due to a specific set of circumstances which
do not apply to my file/person/settings then there does not seem to be an
intrinsic fault in the program.

Chap: how are you trying to print, I have tried using the Print option on the
main page and also on the Preview. They are both working and I can print the
six page report. Have you checked the Printer Stack to see if it's getting that
far?

Jennifer: Is there any chance of you putting your report on a web page so we
can look at it?

You say: "Peter De Luca Jr.'s birth, death, burial, and mother/father
relationship. The chronology report I have run is for Peter's mother,
Clementina"

If you have sourced the births of her children then I would expect a source for
their births, as for all of her children who have been sourced, and in the case
of my grandfather (the one I tested) there is the superscripted reference
against the child's detail.(but see below - settings). Is there any chance of
this being cut off by the edge of your page in either Preview, or print, or
however you are looking at it.

"I don't remember there ever being sources on the chronology report for the
births of children."

As far as I can remember this has always been the case or at least they have
been available - open to correction but pretty sure.

It would be helpful to know your settings, particularly under the Include and
Sources tabs.

As usual, it's well past my bed-time, but will follow up tomorrow if it's not
been sorted.

Jennifer:

Mine will not print out any sources on the Chronology report.
When I try to save the options to print sources, it does not stick - the next
time I go into it, I have to recheck the box to print sources.

There is something going on here that is not correct.

Version: 7.0.0.76

I'm not sure if this problem existed before 7.0.0.76. I personally don't
remember ever having a problem with it, but my experience with chronology
reports thus far has been somewhat limited anyhow. I've only recently started
using them. I just created a Chronology Report for an individual, and there are
source citations listed at the bottom that are not attached to any of her
events. For example, at the end of the report, I have this:

15. Steve Zulpo, Rosati Family Tree (http://rosati-mo.com/tree/: accessed 9 Nov
2008), entry for Peter De Luca Jr.

However, up in the report, #15 is not a superscript on any event. The only
events this master source and that particular source detail mentioned above are
attached to is Peter De Luca Jr.'s birth, death, burial, and mother/father
relationship. The chronology report I have run is for Peter's mother,
Clementina.

The same master source with different source detail is attached to Clementina's
name, birth, and death on her assigned sources screen. That footnote shows up
correctly as:

6. Steve Zulpo, Rosati Family Tree (http://rosati-mo.com/tree/: accessed 10 Nov
2008), entry for Clementina Matilda Trillo.

This is attached correctly to her name, birth, and death on the chronology
report.

The only thing I can think of is that one of the events on this chronology
report is Peter Jr.'s birth. However, I don't remember there ever being sources
on the chronology report for the births of children. Another reason I don't
think it has anything to do with his birth event being on the chronology report
is b/c Clementina's daughter Aileen's birth is also an event on this chronology
report. The master source and detail attached to her birth on her assigned
sources screen are the same as Peter Jr.'s except the last part reads "entry
for Aileen De Luca." This particular footnote with her detail does not show up
on Clementina's chronology report. And also, there are other sources on Peter
Jr.'s assigned sources screen for his birth, such as his son's marriage
certificate, that do not show up on the chronology report.

By the way, the same exact source for Peter Jr. shows up on Clementina's
husband's chronology report even though there is also no event attached to it
by means of a superscript on the report.

I made sure that I unchecked "Child-Par Relationship" on the include tab of the
Options menu, just in case this has something to do with it.
