I have been having the same problem. It happens when I am in an
Individual's Information window and I click on "Open Source
Clipboard" or "Add Clipboard Source to the Current Field." Depending
which I clicked on, I would get either run-time error 380 or error
3421. Then Legacy would crash. Poof. Gone. This was repeatable.
I did a search on the Internet and found a 2001 message from Legacy's
own Jim Terry. This is what he wrote:

I don't remember seeing this error before either, so my advice is going to
be very "generic" because one or more of the following steps will usually
fix 95% of Legacy errors:
Please perform File Maintenance to see if it will solve this problem. File
Maintenance will repair index errors, correct common record problems, remove
references to unused information, and compact the family file. Here are the
steps:
1. Click File from the menu bar and select File Maintenance from the file
menu.
2. Choose the Check/Repair option from the submenu and proceed.
3. If that does not solve the problem, next export all your records into a
new Legacy family file and use it. (File, Export To / Legacy file.)
4. If there are still problems, run the Legacy setup again and from the
InstallShield options select Repair.
Please let me know how it goes.
Good Luck,
Jim Terry

#1-#2 above did not work for me.
#3 did work for me.
I am running Legacy 7.0.0.107. It had the error problem as well as
the previous version.

I am frustrated beyond measure and ready to switch programs. WHY
does this thing keep throwing runtime errors? It started all of a
sudden with 7.0. I deleted the NC files and it persisted at least
once a day; downloaded 7.1 and it persists. Have cleaned the
computer / defragged / anything else I can think of but IT JUST HAPPENED AGAIN.
Any clues, please?
