I agree that 'cemetery records' is valid. However, I didn't use the template
'Cemetery records > Compiled records: typescripts' because I didn't
understand what a 'typescript' was. I just looked up the word now, and it
doesn't fit ("a typewritten manuscript; especially : one intended for use as
printer's copy"). Was this word really meant to be 'transcripts', as you
spelled it in your e-mail, Brian?

What I did do is use 'Cemetery records > Abstracts: vertical file > Basic
format'. For the master source, I created a Repository as the local
historical society that holds the set of transcriptions, then named this
repository in the Repository field on the Source Info tab. The only thing I
don't like is that the citation shows the repository city but not the state.
In the detail source, I put the name of the buried person(s) in the 'Item of
Interest' field, and add all details from the transcription card or listing,
including the grave location, on the 'Text/Comments' tab (not to be part of
the citation).

For example, a citation reads:
"Highland Cemetery Grave Inventory" (vertical file, Mt. Pleasant Historical
Society, Mount Pleasant), Entry for George A. Walker and Naomi Barkhurst.

There are probable other ways to achieve a similar result, including the
'typescripts' template.

Note: If I personally visited the cemetery and saw the tombstone, then I use
the template 'Cemetery records > Grave markers, plaques, tombstones,
monumental inscriptions > Grave markers, rural' instead. This template has
location fields and doesn't require use of the Repository tab, which I
rarely use.

Example:
Highland Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant (Jefferson, Ohio; High Street, behind
Methodist Church), George A. and Naomi Walker and Deborah Morris marker,
personally read, 2008.

On reading this, I think I should have added my name to the field that says
'personally read'.

There is the compiled records and transcripts option under cemetery
records. That is probably the best option.
