Someone else already replied but I think you might be actually looking for the
exact procedure, in other words, HOW do you accomplish that.

Simple. Locate the child’s name in the list of children when looking at your
incorrect first marriage of the mother in the Family View. Right click on the
child’s name and select “Unlink from parents”. A small window will open listing
the parents and all the siblings. Just click “Yes”. That child is now a
“floater” in your database. It has no parents and it has no siblings. Next go
to the proper marriage of the mother (select the correct spouse) or however you
want to get to viewing the correct parents in the Family View. Now right click
on a blank line for a child’s name. Select “Link to an existing son/daughter”.
What opens is the entire Name List. Locate the name of the child and click on
Select (or double click the name). Done.

Of course, what you’ll find happen is that when you get to the entire Name
List, you’ll scratch your head and say “Now what was the name of that child?”.
Even if you remember the name, Murphy’s Law says that you have at least three
people with the same exact name and now the trick is for you to figure out
which is the correct one hopefully by birth year or in a worst case scenario,
temporarily exiting from your Link-to-an-existing-Son/Daughter process, and
open up each name in a family view until you find the one that isn’t already
connected to a family. Been there. Done that.

Suggestion: before you unlink anybody from your file, make a note of the exact
name and birth year so that you’ll have no difficulty in re-attaching the
correct person to the correct family.
