I always wondered about the cropping feature in Legacy.  If you were to crop a 
group photo, does it save to the image file itself or save to a data file with 
the photo?  I've used a number of group photos, but took them into Photoshop 
and cropped them for each person in the photo.  Doing it within Legacy would be 
so much easier and I could still use the same image file if it doesn't apply 
the changes to the one file otherwise this would not work.

Why not use the insert option and select "picture"  This will allow you to 
insert any picture, size it to your needs, and place it where you want it.  You 
can even add a text box and identify each one in the picture
