A simple trick for getting past the email issue is to zip the file, then rename the file myfile.txt rather than myfile.zip. Then inform the user to rename it to .zip when they receive it. Your email will see it as a .txt file and pass it along fine. That will work with .exe files as well. Changing the file extension does not change the file, only how the computer interacts with it.
