You've misunderstood what I've been trying to say all this time.
Nothing is wrong with using the change button.  I already know how to
change the characters in the "Choose Special Characters" by pressing
the blue icon on the left and opening the larger data set.  As I
stated many times previously, the macrons I need to use are not listed
in Legacy at all.

Thank you very much for the advice, although I'm not looking to use a
version of Legacy in a language other than English.  I guess the
macrons I'm trying to use aren't supported at all.  I will contact
Legacy Support to see if these characters would be able to be used in
the future.  Again, thanks for your help!
