Long ago I used a program in which I entered a lot of information into my
sources (for example, to check the source later for families covered in the
book which might be useful in the future). Everything has been imported
into Legacy, and I have two questions:

(1) How can I do a simple search for any word within a source in Legacy? In
other words, I don't want a list of individuals associated with the source,
just the 3 or 4 sources that might contain a word or phrase I'm searching
for.

(2) I file my sources in my file cabinet by the "File ID" number I give them
as I come across a source and enter references to it into my database. How
can I create a list of my sources by the File ID number? I tried to print
out a report but it came out alphabetized which doesn't help me at all since
I want an easy way to go to the numbered folder. Here's my step: "Select a
Report" > Books/Other > Source Citations. Then under the "Include" tab, I
clicked on "All Sources" and "Only the Master Sources." I've tried most of
the variations under the "Options" tab, but it invariably alphabetizes the
list when I want it numbered (using MY File ID number--not Legacy's "number
each source"--my #1 does not start with "A"). Incidentally, the "Include
the source detail File ID" does not do it.

I've searched the "Help" menu but I can't find an answer to these problems.
I'd be thrilled to know how to do these things.

Thanks
Sharon
