Actually, you don’t have to rename the file.  Go to the folder list where your 
database is.  Right-click on the .fdb file, go to Open With and select 
Microsoft Access.

I am quite chuffed - all I have to do is copy the fdb and rename it to mdb.

It's already in an Access database :-) The file extension may not be what
you're used to, but it *is* an Access database.
