Thanks for the info. I'll put that book on my wish list. Seen enough about it that it sounds as if it is not just handy, but is a helpful guide to Legacy Source writer as well.
And on the other, it was not a case of transcriptions, it was a case of incorrect, or at least not desired, report options. There's a check box in them that says "If an event has multiple citations, combine them into one paragraph". This was on for me, I must have done that somewhere along the way, don't know. With this on I get 12-15 lines of citations for footnote (1), then the same stuff for footnote (2), and maybe skip a few and repeats all of that again at footnote (6). If I turn this off, then in the report beside the fact instead of a single superscript notation [1] I get several [1,2,4,5,6,11,13]. Then in the citation list, I simply get the listing of the 15 or so sources. I'm sure you all must have already known that, Doh! jc Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
