Leo, You are quite correct about my views on spaces in file names. Apart from the web, some programs don't like them either. But that aside, I hate to think of the number of times I have seen on this people, who "had no intention of creating web pages" when they first named the files, having problems with spaces in file names later.
Numerous problems are caused by people ignoring the basics of computing, and then blaming the program. In my view, providing one knows the rules, there is no excuse for not getting right in the first place.
