To do the family justice, you really need a scientific 3-D charting program.  
That is probably prohibitively expensive if even available to  anyone outside 
labs.  2-D will be hard to make understandable even on several pages, which 
would also be very confusing.

Maybe someone doing DNA charting has found a program that can be adapted.

I am working on a genealogy of a huge extended gypsy family, actually several 
families which have intermarried for generations, which dates back to the 
1700's and has innumerable marriages between cousins (first cousins, second 
cousin, first cousins on both sides because the parents of both individuals 
were first cousins, you name it!)- and I would like to be able to create a 
chart that shows these links- is this possible? how would I do it?
