Sorry, I'm with Mike. An ancestor is someone I descend from. My ancestor's siblings are relatives. I trace all my ancestors and as many of their relatives as I can find. As an example, Daniel Boone is one of my GGG Uncles, but he is not my ancestor. His sister is my ancestor. His parents are my ancestors. He is not, and I don't claim him as an ancestor.
