A small correction - Ctrl-X is CUT, not delete. Effectively the same, if all you want to do is remove a block of text. But if you want to shift it to another location, then you want to CUT it from its current position (thereby deleting it from your document and saving it in your computer's memory temporarily) and then PASTE it to the new one.
Keyboard shortcuts are great if you're quicker with the keyboard than the mouse. These ones described below are universal (in Windows, at least). Legacy has lots of other shortcuts, too, that make it quick for moving around the program. They're listed in the Help. Don't try to learn them all at once. Select one or two from the list and practise them, then when you've got those remembered, pick up some more. :-) Kind Regards, Wendy Howard -- Kaiwaka, Northland, New Zealand http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wendyh65/ <http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/%7Ewendyh65/> ----- Original Message ----- *From:* Dede Holden <[email protected]> *To:* [email protected] *Sent:* 02/06/2010 12:38:36 AM +1300 *Subject:* [LegacyUG] Happiness, moving citations, and anyone in NJ? > Dawn, > > Do you know about the shortcut keys for cutting and pasting?
