Thanks a million, Brett. That is just what I needed. Regards,

You can save a number of different display settings and easily switch between them as you need to. In Family view, right click on the frame where the display names are, and click customise. First Save your current settings and give them a name to suit - you might call it 1 = "people". Then change the names to the ones you want for the dogs, and save them - eg 2 = "dogs". You can then right click and switch the display by selecting from the list of your saved settings. You can also use the saved settings for changes to the display more "subtle" reasons. Cheers, Brett ----- Original Message ----- Apparently if I change the family view information on one file it changes it on all of them. Is there any way around this? I want to use one file for my daughters dog breeding and use more appropriate display names, such as changing "Christening" to the dog's registration number. Maybe I will have to use a different program altogether, but I was hoping to use Legacy. It need not be too fancy.
