Martha, Have you tried closing Legacy and leaving it for a while before reopening? Is it only the Index Screen which is blank, or Family View, Pedigree etc.?

My folks are still there as I can search and find them, but selecting the Edit from the search screen takes me back to blank. I exported a gedcom and imported it into a second file, whereupon my index was populated, but in searching I find that every person is duplicated. If I merge, then my index screen goes back to blank.
