Kevin one thing I noticed when using the trial version was that I could not import my legacy database to try the software, a feature of the advanced version. Putting a limit of 50 or 100 people to import to allow us to test it with some data would have been an advantage in my case.

It has complete view/edit capabilities for Legacy Databases and can do full 2-way synchronization between your database and the device. (So you can make changes to any of the data on the device and it will sync the changes directly back into your Legacy database) The "direct" import and syncing of Legacy databases requires the "Advanced" version of Pocket Genealogist. There are a few exceptions to what you can edit on the device, for example you can synchronize your images, but you can't add, edit or delete them on the device.
