I'm back again! After someone, maliciously, took the liberty of unsubscribing me! Rita, What I was trying to convey in that post, was that installing 7.4 will make changes to the format of the Family Database file. Which means, that if you subsequently didn't like 7.4, you wouldn't be able to revert to 7.0 (or 6.x) unless you had a backup copy of the FDB file. To me, the simplest thing would be to actually copy all the files in your Data folder to somewhere else (CD, memory-stick etc). Then, after re-installing the older version you'd simply re-copy the saved files back to the Data folder. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
