Bob, I assume that the report you are referring to is the "Descendant Narrative" book report. It appears that you may have checked the box that says, "If an event has multiple citations, combine them into one paragraph," on the Sources tab under Report Options. Uncheck that and your citations should appear separately for all events.
You refer to "viewing an item in the ‘event – edit’." I don't know what this means. I'll again assume that you mean you're looking at the "Assigned Sources for:" screen. Here, if you have entered more than one source for the Name entry, they will each source will appear on a separate line. Only the first will have "Name" in the Events column--all other entries below that which have no event name refer back to "Name." It doesn't mean that you have unnamed events. If I've misinterpreted your problems, please clarify. Hope this helps. John S.
