Ila,

Trust me! Don't bother!

This questions crops up every now and again on this list and it's
understandable that users think it would be very nice of the RIN of a number
corresponded with some sort of order of the family structure. The fact is
they don't.

One can go to all the trouble, and it is a lot of trouble, to create order
out of seemingly chaos, only to find that after more individuals are added,
and especially if, for example, a family's hidden, adopted child is found,
the perfect order is now considerably less than perfect, because new entries
have been given the next highest RIN.
