Hi Keith, (I hope I am understanding you correctly, if not, I apologize, and will climb back under my rock)
Name list gives me a picture of a persons life. Use the other half of the window, I can view what ever I wish. A way to view individuals and each tab to give me different look. I use it all the time to just for that. I use the detail tab. It gives me a look at that individual, his life etc, that you would need a few more mouse clicks for me with the 'Index Tab'. I use the name list for a picture of someones life without going to that individual's view, nor Index View Here is how I use it. Aee a pedigree Same with family view Temple tab ( In index view, you cannot see, without a few clicks) Edit view ( Where you can change information right on that screen ) Sources, also Cite Sources And etc, .......... I use the Index Tab ( Not to be confused with the Names List) just for just a quick look at BMD Adding to much information to the "Index View" tab, you need to scroll to see it, and then you cannot see the view.
