Mary, To the best of my knowledge it is not possible, but then I have never wanted to do this! I suggest that you have a search on Google, a quick look indicates that one may need additional software to do this, although there may be on-line sevices. Acrobat Distiller could be needed.
Do please note these are just suggestions as to where to look, and I have not done a thotough search, nor have I really studied the suggestions on Google. My initial search was for "embed fonts in pdf" (no quotes).
