Suggestion to you, Noelene -- If you cannot open up the older Legacy
file that you did not get on a gedcom yet, do you still have your older
Legacy program CDs (the version on which you created your file?) If so,
you should be able to re-install that version and get your older file
open and running. However, someone else can chime in here, but I
believe if you have a newer version of Legacy installed on your
computer, such as Legacy 7.4, which isn't opening the file for you, the
two versions would confllict with each other (i.e., normally not
allowing you to have two separate versions on the same computer).

So, your solution may be to:

1. Use a secondary computer to re-install the older version of Legacy
and get your older file up and running on it, or

2. If you have the expertise, create a separate partition on your hard
drive in which you can isolate the older version of Legacy, older file.

But the simplest way would be to just re-install the older version,
older file on a completely different computer. If you know your
previous file was working fine with a certain version, then you should
be able to get it up and running that way, create your gedcom and then
transfer to the newer Legacy verson.
