Alright - I didn't read the final section relating to Spill File locations (it had no relevance to what I was looking for) so I didn't see the very final bit about the Customise Options. And although it was headed Customise Locations I thought that was just another section and not specifically related to my problem of wanting to test multimedia paths - I didn't want to customise where Legacy was to put them, I wanted to find where I had put the missing images.

Below is the relevant help file entry, edited for space. Customize - Locations (This is the header. It tells you where everything that follows is located. It says that everything that follows, including the "Test All Multimedia Paths" button is located in the Options > Customize > Locations Tab) ----------------clipped as non relevant -------------------------- Default Location of Family Files ----------------clipped as non relevant -------------------------- Default Location of Picture and Sound Files ----------------clipped as non relevant -------------------------- Adding New Multimedia Locations ----------------clipped as non relevant -------------------------- Testing the Locations If you would like to test all the picture links within your family file, click the Test All Multimedia Paths button. Legacy tests to see if each picture exists. If a multimedia file cannot be found within the current list of paths, you are given the opportunity to find it yourself or to delete the reference. Location of Temporary Spill File ----------------clipped as non relevant -------------------------- The Customize screen is reached by choosing Customize from the Options menu. (See Customize Options for a summary of the customization options.) - This part tells you how to reach the customize screen. -- Gene Young Researching Young, Harer, Cox & Sallada With Legacy Family Tree Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergr...@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergr...@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
