I had something really strange happen today & I hope I can explain what I did. I opened a search list & was updating files (adding Social Security information). While I was updating John Doe's file, I accidentally clicked further down the list on Jane Smith on the left pane. I noticed I still had the same information on the R pane, so I didn't think anything of it. I went back to John Doe on the L pane & continued to enter the information. Later I went to Jane Smith's family view and noticed her name had been changed to John Doe, and all her information had been changed to John Doe's information. In the Index list I had 2 John Doe's with identical information & RIN numbers. I quickly rectified the situation by replacing Jane's information from a backup, but I have no idea why it happened. I haven't been able to replicate the problem (not that I really want to!). Just wondered if how it happened & if anyone else had encountered this issue.
