Ron, I cannot say that I have noticed any change in the speed of operation, are your pictures large (by which I mean many bytes and not dimensions)? I take it that you regularly clean up your PC, deleting temporary files etc. I have noticed that Firefox is becoming a terrible hogger of memory and processing, which can cause slowing down if it is running when one is using other programs. In fact this is getting so bad that I am getting to the point of only using it for website development. Even IE uses less - Chrome is probably the best in this aspect.
Oh, and I suppose that your PC has plenty of memory available?
