Dave, I don't have problems with SourceWriter details being exported in a gedcom; they do import into other programs in a "scrambled" manner as Ward has discussed, but the details are there. What settings are you using? Are you using the current build of Legacy?
Even though they are scrambled, I've found Legacy does a better job exporting EE style source citations than one of its major competitors. At least that was the case several months ago when I last tried the other program.
