Wes, I don't have a duplex printer, so can't test, but have you looked at:
Family Group Sheet> Report Options> Page Setup> Duplex and worked with those choices which are: Single sided Double sided (vertical) Double sided (horizontal) Don't set The same options are available on the Descendant reports. I would think that if you have it ticked for Single sided or Don't set (which I believe is the default), you would get exactly what you got.
