I did not say that Legacy could not produce a given name/surname list;
that is quite easily done using the name list print function and
selecting to include rin/givenname/surname as columns and saving as a
cvs file. Building html given name sorted index pages in Legacy, on the
other hand, is not an option, but it can be done (tediously) with the
resulting file and a descent text editor.

I do not see that GEDxlate gets you any closer.
