You can add you own custom "Child Status" options. Just click the Add. . . 
button while you are in the Master Child Status List.

Hopefully that answers your question.

I have not been able to figure out how to do the following.
My daughter had her last 4 children taken away and adopted out, I have them as 
her birth children but do not see how I can mark them as adopted out as opposed 
to her adopting them.
