As I'm still on XP I use GoodSync its great, simply create instructions to
synchronise a to b, or b to a, or both-ways.
I have 2 x 1 Terabyte drives synchronising and a 500 Mbyte external drive
synchronising my Music, Photos and Family Tree, as well I sync smart chips. In
fact you can sync any folders or CD/DCD.
Years ago I lost all my info when the hard drive failed so this pedantic use of
three drives.

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Using Windows Sync (w/Windows 7, 32-bit) to copy my
database

Windows Live Sync is a App - I think part of the Windows Live group
that comes with Windows 7. It's easy to set it up to sync folders
like music, documents, etc but I'm not sure how (or if) it can be used
to sync the data folder in Legacy. I just wanted to know if anyone
had used it to keep their Legacy database on 2 or more computers in
sync and if so, how did they set it up and what did they think of the
results. I know that the program Dropbox can be used as could thumb
drives, etc.

If there is no one out there who is using Windows Live Sync for the
syncing of their database, how about those of you who are using
Dropbox sharing the path needed to sync the computers together.

Thanks.
