To the best of my knowledge, Ancestry.Com does not re-attach sources/images. If you export a GEDCOM from your Ancestry.Com tree and then immediately re-import it into Ancestry.Com (creating a new tree), all links between sources and images are lost. It's not that you're using different events in Legacy versus Ancestry.Com because it's all about Ancestry.Com not exporting the linkage in a format from which it can later import and reconnect.
It's highly frustrating. An annoying side effect is that Ancestry.Com will now re-hint about all the linkages that have been lost. It's a major reason why I rarely upload my Legacy data to Ancestry.Com any more and only really go from Ancestry.Com to Legacy. (The other reason being that I can't actually update my Ancestry.Com tree but instead must create a whole new tree each time.) Take care, Melody If not now, when?
