That is the way you select Focus Group, however, you need to click view/select
to verify you have the correct focus group selected. If not clear the list and
select the proper people.

I click on Gedcom and in the option I choose Focus Group. I thought this is how
you choose Focus Group, unless there is another way to choose Focus Groups.

Michele,

Try the following:

Click File>Export to>GEDCOM

Then select the type of GEDCOM you wish to import and check any other boxes you
need to select the types of data to export.

Click on "Record selection near the bottom of the window.

In the window that opens, select radio button labeled "Selected records
contained in the Focus Group and then click "View/Select Focus Group.

A new window opens and at this point you should click on "Clear List" on the
right side of the window to remove any old selections. Then click on "Add an
individual" or "Add a Family" or other available buttons in order to get the
group of interest.

then click "OK" "Close". Then click "Select File Name and START EXPORT"

This should give you the persons of interest.

I am trying to send a family member a gedcom file. The problem is I try to
select a focus group and just choose the 15 individuals, but it ends up putting
entire family tree into the Gedcom. How can I select certain individuals in my
family and create a gedcom to email?
