Which data fields are sent tothe website depends on which website is being searched. If you open the Search the Internet window and click through the various searches, you'll notice that which fields are bolded will change. For example, the Ancestry option will search on First, Surname, Start Year and End Year. Rootsweb will search only on the Name. The change in "bold" is subtle so you might not notice it. If you want to look at the search string, click on Customize Searches then any Select button and highlight a search and look at the bottom of the window - you can view the search string and piece together which data is being sent to the web - look for the words in square brackets.
